A couple of weeks ago, I played creative director in a photo shoot. I got to choose the model, style the outfits, and come up with the concept! I wanted to do a menswear shoot, featuring a model dressed in drapey clothing as an urban nomad of sorts. But, instead of the feeling of freedom usually associated with vagabonds, I went with a melancholy twist, further exaggerated with the intense fog that happened to blanket the cliffside on the day of the shoot. The weather really worked out well!
All of the photos (with the exception of the first photo, taken by me) were shot by my good friend Kristina McMullin. She is way, way cooler than me. The model is my boyfriend Justin Escutin. Doesn’t his skinny, pale, zombie-esque look fit perfectly with the theme?! Next week I’ll be posting the editorial I shot where Kristina and I switched roles, making her the creative director. It involves boobies, butts, and big hair. It is awesome.

That last shot is just breath taking. And those…grasses? ARE SO SO SO TALL, woah.
Do you take these for school or for fun? They’re gorgeous in any case and I would love love love to be a creative director for photo shoots. If I had a dream job, it would be this.
